How many times have you forgotten a detrimental step in your morning routine – brushing your teeth or rolling on deodorant? I can probably count the times on one hand and I am proud to say it’s a universal thing.
It’s the funniest thing when you sit back and reflect on those days when you feel very confident and powerful, especially if you’re wearing a new outfit, gorgeous shoes and your makeup is flawless. The disheartening fact is when you graze your tongue across your teeth after woofing down a glazed donut; you’re embarrassed to speak as you rush into your 9:30 weekly staff meeting. The thought of your breath lacking the Listerine fragrance leaves your mind unsettled. You quickly shuffle your way to one of the random seats in the back of the room away from the round conference table.
The realization of forgetting to roll the brand new stick of deodorant under your arms, at least 5-10 times per armpit, is evident when you are about to “get your workout on” and realize that the stench you smell is you. The fan oscillating on full blast is out to get you because it keeps blowing the ripe smell around the room and in your face. You become more ashamed when you realize people may notice the thick stain under your armpit, confirming that the sweat isn’t from the workout, but from your lack of deodorant usage.
Ladies, I recommend that we stop rushing in the morning as we dress ourselves and make up our faces. Instead, let’s focus on the little things that really make us beautiful to others – fresh breath and dry armpits.
You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be really something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complicated and very broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post.
